Samsung has revealed that the Korean company decided to not include a microSD card slot on its flagship handset. at the launch of Samsung, Kyle Brown, head of technology, content and management, told TechRadar that because of major performance improvements in key areas such as faster UFS 2.0 LPDDR4 storage and RAM, the company 'trust' has a microSD could affect the performance of the handset.
Kyle also said that Samsung engineers managed to provide the best of both worlds at the edge of the Galaxy this year. Responses included microSD card slot on the S7 has been very positive for Samsung.
But there are many people who feel very disappointed for not having [memory card] slot on the Galaxy S6, but has become one of the most positive reaction to the Samsung galaxy S7. We are really proud of what has been achieved, adding a microSD slot and a water resistive IP68 rating.
The lack of a microSD card slot on the lead edge of the Galaxy S6 and Samsung to launch the handset in many storage configurations. However, due to higher storage variant of the premium, many customers finally went to LG and G4 flagship handset that features a microSD card slot. With the return of the S7 and S7 edge though, Samsung has discarded a higher storage variant for its flagship handsets this year and will only offer the handset with 32GB of internal storage.
